The 2016 Proprietary Reserve Red Spain is a Grenache-dominated red (there's 10% Syrah) that offers a pretty, forward bouquet of ripe cherries, strawberries, spice, and a touch of dried flowers. With medium body, a seamless texture, and no hard edges, it's another terrific value from the Rubus Project that's ideal for drinking over the coming couple of years.

Aromas of animal, underripe berry fruit and Band-Aid rubber lead to a full and rugged palate. Weedy berry and plum flavors become less appealing the longer this sits.
