The aromas aren't entirely ready to reveal their charms, with notes of cinnamon spice, whole orange and red fruit. On the palate, there's a sense of tension between the fruit flavors and the acidity that intrigues. Give it some additional time in the cellar to blossom.

Vivid red. Ripe red berries, pungent flowers and a hint of vanilla on the expressive nose. Fleshy and broad on entry and then more taut in the midpalate, o!ering juicy raspberry and bitter cherry flavors and a sweetening touch of vanilla. Finishes long and smooth with late-arriving tannins and a kiss of mocha. Aged in 20% new oak.

This red is lean and taut, with discreet cherry, cedar and black tea flavors. Best after 2021. 1,084 cases made.
