Also from the Santa Maria Valley, the 2018 Pinot Noir Julia's Vineyard offers more layers and complexity, with beautiful spiced raspberry fruits, crushed flowers, flowery incense, orange blossom, and subtle oak aromas and flavors. Polished, medium-bodied, and nicely balanced, with silky tannins, it's drinking great today, yet I suspect it will evolve for upwards of a decade, if you're so inclined.

The 2018 Pinot Noir Julia's Vineyard, from the Cambria estate, is an elegant, delicate wine. Crushed flowers, sweet red/purplish berry fruit, mint, blood orange and star anise are lifted from the glass. Medium in body and silky, with lovely persistence, the Julia's is one of the many highlights in this range.

Black raspberry and pomegranate make for a very snappy and bright nose on this bottling, which grows more complex with hints of fennel pollen. The palate picks up bay leaf, eucalyptus and blood-orange-rind flavors, as the pomegranate core holds firm.

Precise and detailed, with a mouthwatering set of damson plum, cherry pit and raspberry coulis notes laced with red tea, tarragon and savory hints. Reveals a lovely mineral zing at the very end that brings you back for more. Drink now through 2030. 378 cases made.
