The Surrau Naracu Cannonau is an open and fresh wine with more typical Mediterranean fruit and mineral expressions of the granitic soil of Gallura.
Once fortresses built by ancient civilizations of the Mediterranean, Naracu (or Nuraghe) can still be found across the island of Sardegna. Cannonau, the island’s primary red grape, creates wines with red berry fruit and herbaceous, savory notes. Cannonau and Nuraghe are still found all over the island in different versions. The Surrau Naracu Cannonau is an open and fresh wine with more typical Mediterranean fruit and mineral expressions of the granitic soil of Gallura.

The 2021 Cannonau di Sardegna Naracu is dusty and understated in the glass, slowly evolving with a delicate mix of minty herbs, blackberries and pine hints. This soothes with its round textures and ripe wild berry fruits, slowly gaining tension through hints of sour citrus and a saline mineral tinge that emerges toward the close. It finishes long and potent, with a saturation of primary concentration that lingers as hints of licorice fade.
