The bouquet reveals a quiet power with blackberries, blueberries, and chocolate anchored by a beautiful rich earthiness. The palate is bold and balanced, lacing fruit with hints of black licorice, crushed gravel, and baking cocoa. The tannins have density and energy in thoughtful combination, revealing elements of the full range of fruit styles grown across our phenomenal collection of vineyards.

A blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Petite Sirah, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Phase V offers a big, sexy nose of blackberries, blueberries, damp earth, chocolate, espresso, and tobacco. Full-bodied on the palate, it has an almost Graves-like earthiness, a rich, fleshy mouthfeel, plenty of tannins, and a good finish. Give bottles 3-4 years of bottle age and it should evolve for 15-20 years.
