The larger production cuvée is the 2016 Priorat Perinet, a rocking wine based on Grenache and Carignan. This medium to full-bodied, flawlessly balanced effort has nicely integrated acidity, good mid-palate depth, fine tannins, and classic Grenache red and blue fruits, leather, and rocky, mineral-like nuances. It's going to evolve for 10-15 years or more.

This bold red is heady, racy and expressive, yet remains focused. The broad flavor range encompasses black cherry, kirsch and vanilla, backed by smoky, mineral and licorice notes. Firm, well-integrated tannins and tangy acidity rein in the exuberance. Garnatxa, Carinyena, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Drink now through 2030. 1,820 cases made, 1,167 cases imported.

Jammy aromas of blackberry and cassis are supported by cheesy oak and molasses. A viscous palate is almost syrupy in consistency, while this tastes of superripe blackberry, sun-baked black currant and chocolaty oak. A smooth but thick finish is rich in flavor but tips the scale towards heavy.
