Bouchard Pere & Fils Chambolle Musigny 2017
|Region||France, Burgundy, Cote de Nuits|
|Brand||Bouchard Pere & Fils|
The silky texture sets the pace for black currant, blueberry and violet aromas and flavors. Sleek and concentrated, with a lingering, spice-tinged aftertaste. Best from 2021 through 2032.
The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Village comes half from Bouchard and half from purchased grapes. It has an attractive bouquet of black cherries, bergamot and light floral scents. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and nicely balanced, if, like the Pommard Village, just a little generic in style. I would like more voluptuousness on the finish. Not bad, but not memorable either.
