Pride Mountain Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
|Brand||Pride Mountain Vineyards|
Jeb DunnuckThe 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon from Pride comes from close to equal parts Napa and Sonoma and checks in as 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot and the balance Merlot. Blackcurrants, smoked earth, chocolate, and tobacco leaf notes all flow to a medium to full-bodied, rounded, nicely concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon that has tons of fruit and texture, yet stays balanced. It has just a hint of oak but is already charming and delicious. Drink it over the coming 10-15 years.
Wine SpectatorPlump and spicy, offering alluring flavors of dark berry jam, with floral and light cedar notes, ending a bit clipped. Drink now through 2028. 5,945 cases made.
Wine EnthusiastThis contains 6% Merlot and 7% Petit Verdot, the fruit from both Napa and Sonoma. Tight-grained tannins contribute a thick grippy midpalate of weight and texture before chocolate waves of dark cherry are complemented by dried herb and sage.
