On the top of the hill called "La Grola", lies a plateau of less than seven acres, dazzling white in color due to its calcareous top soil, and planted exclusively with Corvina Veronese since the late 1970s. The care of detail and quality of viticultural on this plot yield grapes with great personality and maturity. Following an ageing period that exceeds four years in the cellar, the wine is still extraordinarily fresh and vibrant with a full spectrum of aromas ranging from fruit to spices and herbs. Full bodied and luscious, with a long, lingering finish this single-vineyard wine has obtained cult status among Italian wine lovers. The inspiration behind this monovarietal expression of Corvina lies with Giovanni Allegrini and represents his passionate belief in the land upon which he lived. It has the potential to age for a decade or longer.

This shows great depth and, while delicious now, hold for a few more years to allow additional complexities to develop.
