Gehricke Los Carneros Pinot Noir 2013
The Tasting PanelA shining light of bright crimson fills the glass, and the nose is greeted with Asian spice and summer cherries. High acidity and a satin slipperiness offers a luxurious texture to this Burgundian-style sophisticate. Just a hint of cola, and more than a hint of raspberry, meld with a lovely caramel oak on the finish; a scent that lingers on the nose.
Wine EnthusiastA foundation of truffled earth and forest floor give this a rustic edge, complemented by savory herb and black tea. Weighty, it shows its backbone of oak aging well, finishing abruptly in cranberry and dark cherry.
