We are fortunate to have some of the oldest Pinot Gris vines in Marlborough - planted in 1990. This gives us fruit with great intensity of flavour with palate weight. The grapes are low cropped and then a portion of this wine is fermented in old oak using indigenous yeast, not to give oak character but to add layers of flavour and texture. The balance is tank fermented and aged on light lees, giving a creaminess and mid palate weight. It is a dry wine with classic pear and quince texture and flavours with super length.
