Domaine Dubreuil Fontaine Corton Charlemagne 2012

SKU 43745

Beautiful limpid and gold colour in its youth, which takes on amber hues with age. Its bouquet breaths exotic fruit notes with citrus and pineapple and reveals rich honey aromas, grilled almonds and cinnamon, even butter notes during preservation. Ample, fat, fresh with a long, well-balanced and mineral final, this wine has a great ageing potential. Good match with shellfishes such as lobster, spiny lobster, or foie gras.

Wine AdvocateThe 2012 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru comes from 0.75-hectare of vineyards planted in the Pernand-Vergelesses: two parcels, one just in front of the "Le Charlemagne" restaurant. It has a very mineral-driven bouquet that is tightly wound at the moment, with a subtle walnut note scampering around in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with a very pure, quite spicy entry with notes of dried honey and nutmeg. Good weight in the mouth here, nicely balanced with a crisp, tense finish, this is a very fine Corton-Charlemagne that should age well.
