Fisher Vineyards Coach Insignia Cabernet Sauvignon 1994
Wine AdvocateThe 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon Coach Insignia reveals a medium dark color, a Bordeaux-like, austere, spicy, oaky, earthy, cassis-scented nose, plenty of tannin, medium body, and a firm, closed personality. This wine needs another 1-3 years of cellaring; it will keep for 12-15 years. Fisher produces three Cabernet Sauvignon cuvees. The least expensive is the Coach Insignia, with the more limited production Lamb Vineyard and Wedding Vineyard relatively difficult to find in the marketplace.
Wine SpectatorSolid, with a good core of earthy currant, cedar and tar, and it's nicely balanced, if a bit on the tannic side at this stage.
